Michael Joseph McFarling, 31, of Hawesville died May 30, 2019 from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident. Michael was born on October 16, 1987 in Owensboro to Ernie and Sabrina Pate McFarling. He was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church and worked at Waupaca. Michael loved life and always had a grin on his face. He loved fishing, baseball, the Kentucky Wildcats, music, loved the elderly, kids and dogs. Michael loved to poke fun at his brother, Jeremy when the Wildcats beat the Cardinals. He was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence and Roberta McFarling, Fred and Loretta Pate, an uncle “Mac” McFarling and an aunt Alice Faye McFarling.
Survivors include two children Courtney and Jon who were his life, his mother Sabrina (Jeff) Kratzer, his father Ernie (Marla) McFarling, two brothers Jeremy (Sandy) McFarling and Ryan McFarling, two sisters Taylor Kratzer (Carlos) and Hayley McFarling; nephew Brayden McFarling; Grandma Glodean Kratzer, grandparents Kenny and Karon Jackson, aunts and uncles Barbara Smith, Grace and Brian McBride, John ad Ginger Fisher and Randy and Maxine Mullen.
There are two special young ladies that he loved as his own, Paige Martin and Jacie Roark. Special friends Harold Hess and Andrew Dicus and special cousin “Sissy”. He loved his three dogs Johnny, June and Buddy.
Michael loved life and always had a grin on his face. He had so many friends, he never met a stranger.
Services are at 11:00 am Monday June 3, 2019 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville, with burial following in Serenity Hills. Michael’s family will greet friends from 3:00 to 8:00pm Sunday and from 8:00 am until service time Monday at the Funeral Home.
