Marvin Jarvis, 76, of Lewisport, passed away on April 13, 2018 at Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL with family by his side. He was born in Okie, WV on September 21, 1941 to the late Walter and Erma Simons Jarvis. Marvin worked for NSA and retired from Century Aluminum after 37 years of service. He grew up in Spencer, WV, where he was a member of the first volunteer fire department in the United States, later serving as Fire Chief. Marvin was happiest working in his yard and on Tom Evans farm. He was a good man, well liked by all and will be greatly missed by all his family friends. His pride and joy was his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Judy Jarvis; a daughter, Becky Jarvis; a son, Rick Jarvis; granddaughters, Devon Logsdon, Ashlyn and Kynlee Jarvis; siblings, Don (Julia) Jarvis, Joe (Mary Jo) Jarvis and Ines Webb; nieces and nephews, Regina Youtz, Greg Jarvis, Andrea Stockner, Angela West, Debbie Webb, Barb Devine and Alan Webb.
There will be no service or visitation as per Marvin’s wishes. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
