Martha May Shasteen

Martha May Shasteen, 90, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Lewisport, passed away on Saturday January 27, 2018 at Palm Garden of Port St. Lucie. She was born on September 26, 1927 in Columbus, OH to the late Gilbert and Viola Brown Mossbarger. Martha was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a medical assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 64 years, Maynard Shasteen, who passed away in 2009, 2 sons, Ray Maynard Shasteen and Mark Allen Shasteen, a brother, Maurice Shasteen and a son in law Gary DeJarnette.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Kenny) DeJarnette Roberts, Sheila (Barry) McClaskie and Carol (Mark) Perry; 9 grandchildren, Lisa Snyder, Lora Quinn, Brad DeJarnette, Lance McClaskie, Christa Speck, Brian Perry, Benson Perry, Aaron Perry and Linda Miller; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 1 pm on February 2, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
