Lisa Swihart Mersch, 46, of Lewisport, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at University of Kentucky Hospital.  She was born in Owensboro on October 19, 1970 the daughter of Paul and Charlene Hawley Swihart.  Lisa was an Office Manager and a member Lewisport Baptist Church.  She was a humanist with a love for life.  Her family especially her children were her focus.  Lisa enjoyed attending her kids events, gardening, fishing, reading and solving puzzles.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Chris Mersch; parents, Paul and Charlene Swihart; daughters, Lacie Elizabeth Swihart and Tatum Elise Mersch; sons, Denon Scott Fries and Cade Alexander Mersch; a sister, Amy Swihart Hess; brother, Chris Swihart; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2 pm in the Taylor Chapel at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport.  Lisa’s family will be greeting guests at the funeral home from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday and noon until 2 pm Saturday.  Lisa’s wishes were to be cremated after her service and burial will be private at a later date.
