Joseph Greene Bolin, Sr.

Joseph Greene Bolin, Sr., 67, of Lewisport, passed away on August 23, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Joe was born in Owensboro on February 13, 1951 to the late Forest “Frostye” and Nancy Adkins Bolin. He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, a farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. Joe graduated from Hancock County High School in 1969 and from Brescia College in 1987. He loved his farm, was a handyman and enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy “Willie” Blake. 

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Betty Jo Bolin; 3 sons, Joseph Greene (Emily) Bolin Jr., Jacob Scott (Sasha) Bolin and John Thomas Bolin; 3 grandchildren, Savannah Gilliland, Llana Gilliland and Jaxon Bolin; sister, Karen “Tiny” Bolin along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm on Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. Columba Catholic Church with burial following in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Fr. Terry Devine will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 am until 12:30 pm at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Columba Building Fund.
