John D. "Johnny" Adkins

John D. “Johnny” Adkins, 63, of Christmas, FL formerly of Maceo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2018 at his home.  John was born in Seattle, WA on May 15, 1954 to the late JD and Barbara Burnette Adkins.  John was a Construction Inspector, enjoyed motorcycles, boxing and boating.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mitchell Adkins.

Survivors include two sons Chris Adkins (Michele) and John Darrick Adkins; four grandchildren Elaine Lovelace (Shawn), Christopher Paul Adkins, Justin Adkins and Chase Owen Adkins; two great grandchildren; siblings, Lisa Adkins, Jerry Adkins, Spencer Adkins, Brian Adkins and Todd Adkins; sister in law Stacy Adkins and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Central Baptist Church with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 pm until 8 pm at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville and on Friday from 9 am until service time at the church.
