Jerry Glenn McCrady

Jerry Glenn McCrady, 62, of Owensboro, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2019 at his residence.  He was born in New Albany, IN on August 18, 1956 to the late Clyde Lamon and Kathleen Clark McCrady. Jerry was a 1974 graduate of McLean County High School.  Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country he loved during the Vietnam War and was a MP in White Sands, NM.  He loved rock n roll, jamming on his guitar and telling jokes.  Jerry loved being a papaw, going to ballgames and activities they were involved in.  He was a free spirit and his grandson described him as being “cool”.  He was preceded in death by his niece, Lisa Ann Young.

Survivors include his daughters, Ashley (Eddie) Martin and Kaylan McCrady; son, Christopher McCrady; 7 grandchildren, Stevie Lee, Corbin, Isaac, Liam, Lucas, Mickenna and Kaysen; sister, Sandi McCrady; mother of his daughters, Shirley McCrady and Angel, his beloved dog.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday March 9, 2019 at Calhoun Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport, PO Box 406, Lewisport, KY 42351 to help offset costs.
