James David "JD" Campbell

James David “JD” Campbell passed away on Monday December 24, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born in Hancock County on November 25, 1933 to the late Charles and Mary Catherine Rhodes Campbell.  JD was a member of the Painter’s Union Local # 156 Evansville for 55 years.  He was a veteran of The United States Navy.  JD enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and hanging out with his friends at Hillbilly’s and the truck stop.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Brenda Potts Campbell; their children, Janssen (Christie) Campbell, Jeff Campbell, David Campbell, Kelly (Stacy) Campbell, Caroline (Donnie) Wedding and Johnny Riddle; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren plus 2 on the way; sisters, Faye Hurst and Phyllis (Larry) Poole along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday December, 29, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with full military honors.  Visitation will be held from 9 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
