Dorothy Lane Obituary

Dorothy Ellen Lane, 86, of Cowan, TN, passed away on November 28, 2019 at Elk River Health & Rehab (TN). She was born on August 7, 1933 in Utility, KY to the late George and Katie Bell Gibbs. Dorothy was homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening (flowers and vegetables). She was an avid reader and at one point had a book collection that she was proud of. Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Lee Gibbs and a grandchild.

Survivors include her husband, James Emile Lane; children, Linda Murray, Steve Lane, David (Thu Ha Pham) Lane, Donna Lane and Cathy (David) Freer; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, George Lee Gibbs, Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
