Ken and Brenda,
I'll always remember Cody laying on the Children's Church stage as I taught the lessons. He would always stack the chairs following kids worship. Amazing kid with an amazing heart for Christ. You'll continue to be in our prayers. Gods word brings incredible truth to our moment. Romans 8:38-39.... nothing can separate us from our awesome God. May his peace and presence be thick upon you now and in the days to come. In this storm with you. Hurting because you hurt. May the hope of the cross bring you peace. Psalm 46

The summer before my 8th grade year Cody taught me the meaning of love and friendship. Keeping in touch with him over the years is something I'll never forget. I'm so sorry for this loss and will be praying for y'all. And Cody, I love you and miss you more than ever.

Obenchain was one of my best friends. I think about him daily. How whenever I was upset he ALWAYS cheered me up and I always tried to do the same. We always talked about how he was going to be an amazing rapper one day. He could make lyrics like no other. Spending the all the years I had with Obenchain in my life was amazing. It saddens me so deeply he didn't feel he could come to me this time. I don't know how I am gonna feel without my friend in my life ever again. It still feels so surreal. I just want to let everyone know Cody was an amazing, out going, kind, generous and giving person. All he wanted to do was make the world a better place. & he did just by being him. I will miss you FOREVER OB. I am absolutely destroyed that I can't attend the funeral but I send my love to all of OB's family and friends. i love ya Cody J Obenchain ❤️

We are deeply heartbroken over the loss of Cody! He was a respectful young man when he visited our home. He was a good friend to our kids and he had a great heart truly desiring to serve the Lord and others! Our prayers are with Ken and Brenda and we love you both very much!
