Barbara Jo Gabbert, 75, of Lewisport, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at her Home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  She was born in Owensboro on October 21, 1941 the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Carr Smith.  She was of the Protestant faith and was a housewife.  Barbara enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles and woodworking.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Gabbert; siblings Brenda Lee Smith, Charles Smith and Mary Grant.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Hodges; a grandson, Devin Hodges; two brothers, James Smith and Terry Smith along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the Taylor Chapel at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm.
