Angela Kay Johnson

Angela Kay Johnson, 50, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of January 2, 2019. Kay was born April 1, 1968 and lived in Hawesville.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents Elmer and Eula Snyder and Maurice and Sally Wethington and her father-in-law Victor Johnson.

Kay was a loving wife, mother, Grammy, daughter, sister and aunt who never met a stranger.  She was a kind soul who believed in helping anyone in need and always put everyone else before herself.  Kay loved her family with everything she had and loved showing off her grandbabies to anyone who cared to take a look at her phone.  She loved life on the farm, especially when it came time to drive the tractor or combine.  She also loved bargain hunting, beach trips with family, and watching the Hallmark Channel.  Kay will be deeply missed by all.

Kay is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 31 years, Tony Johnson; her children Coty (Lora) Johnson, Kayla (Jonathan) Veach and Ryan (Nicole) Johnson; her grandchildren Carlee, Addy, and Barrett Johnson, Connor, Brinley, and Beckett Veach and Ryan Johnson, Jr; her parents Ed and Marcella Snyder Wethington; her siblings Patsy (Chris) Johnson, Tina (Jimmy) Glover and Eddie Wethington; her mother-in-law Lois Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass of Celebration will be at 10:00 am Saturday January 5, 2019 at St Lawrence Catholic Church with burial following in St Lawrence Cemetery.  Kay’s family will greet friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday with prayers at 7:00 pm  at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville and Saturday from 8:00 am until service time at St Lawrence Catholic Church.
