William Henry Clelland, 65, of Hawesville, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born on October 13, 1951 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Louis and Dorothy Mayo Clelland.  He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and attended the Kingdom Hall in Tell City.  Bill was retired from the Prince George’s Police Department, where he was a Crime Scene Investigator.  He was a veteran of The United States Army, serving his country in the Vietnam War.  Bill was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Clelland and Frank Clelland.

Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Judy Downs Clelland; a daughter, Elizabeth Clelland; a son, Joshua Clelland; three grandchildren, Sean Clelland, Kyle Clelland and Ben Clelland; a brother, Lou Clelland along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He still lives in the heart of his God, Jehovah, and family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday September 15, 2017 at Kingdom Hall in Tell City.  The family welcomes all friends of Bill’s to attend the service and share stories of his of his life.
