William H. “Billy” Mason, 73, of Owensboro went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 30, 2016 at his home.  Billy was born in Owensboro on May 23, 1943 to the late William Linwood and May Lucile Howard Mason.  He was an active member at Asbury United Methodist Church and was retired from General Electric in Tell City, IN.  Billy served our country in the United States Army and retired from the National Guard.  He was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan, loved to fish, dearly loved watching his grandsons play sports and grow up and his daughter Renee was the apple of his eye.  He was preceded in death by a son William Nathaniel Mason.

Survivors include his daughter Renee Wright of Owensboro; two grandsons Courtney Wright, Jr and Christian Wright of Owensboro; a brother Frank (Joanne) Mason of Lewisport; a sister-in-law Mary (Danny) Doyle of Hawesville; two nephews Chris Mason and Shawn Crowe and two nieces Tiffany Talbott and Amanda Crowe.  Billy’s love and support will be missed by all.

Services are at 11:00 am Monday December 5, 2016 at Asbury United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in St Paul Cemetery in Hawesville.  Billy’s family will be greeting friends and family from 4 pm until 7 pm on Sunday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville and from 10 am until service time Monday at the church.
