Terry G. Powers, 55, of Hawesville went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at his home with family at his side under the care of Western Kentucky Hospice. Terry is now reunited with his father in Heaven.  Terry was born on January 29, 1962 in Owensboro to Eddie and Jeanette Brown Powers.  He was a member of Blackford Baptist Church and worked at Hancock County Farm Store for 32 years.  Terry loved spending time at the barn, playing chess, watching sports, playing his guitar and pulling ponies. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Powers on May 15, 2017.

Survivors include a daughter Andrea Powers and her companion Chris Sorrels; a son Brent Powers and his companion Shannon Brown; his mother Jeanette Powers; four sisters Melissa G. Pogue (Wayne Keith), Rhonda McDaniel, Kimberly Powers Patterson (Ken) and Trisha Burden; five grandchildren Ayden, Kenley, Brooklyn, Jayden and Ryder and his companion Rhonda Powers.

Services are at 2:00 pm Sunday December 10, 2017 at Blackford Baptist Church.  Burial will be at Blackford Baptist Church Cemetery.  Terry’s family will greet friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday and from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm Sunday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville.
