Ruth Hazel Hale, 84, formerly of Hawesville passed away Saturday September 9, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Tell City, IN.  Hazel was born in Hawesville on November 19, 1932 to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Holmes Gray. She retired from General Electric in Owensboro, loved to Crochet, raise a garden and spend time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband Casper Hale, a grandson Harold Powers and eight siblings.

Survivors include a daughter Carolyn (Kenneth) Wathen; a son David (Grace) Morris; 5 grandchildren Mike Powers, Clinton Morris, Eric Shane Morris, Mary Elizabeth Morris and Kaylynn Yankavitch; 8 great grandchildren; a sister Amanda Critcheloe; two brothers John Gray and Grover Gray and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 1:00 pm Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Patesville Baptist Church with burial following in the Hale Powers Cemetery.  Hazel’s family will be greeting friends from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville and from 11:00 am until service time Wednesday at the church.
