Robert “Rob” Douglas, Jr, of Hawesville, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his father’s house.  Rob was born on March 15, 1973 in Tell City, IN to Robert Douglas Sr. and Margaret Ann LaFernier Douglas.  He was of the Catholic Faith and a paper carrier.  Rob enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved his dog, Little Man.  He is preceded in death by his step mother, Georgia Bourdage.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Ann Vanover (John); his father, Robert Douglas, Sr.; three daughters, Mikayla Ashtyn Douglas, Brianna Douglas and Kaylah Cribbs; companion and love of his life, Angie Simpson; step brothers and sisters; Karen Bell (Kevin), Baron Vanover (Kristi), Jeff Vanover, Melissa Lafernier, Heather LaFernier Dowell (Justin) and Edward “Tanker” Bourdage.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial at a later date.  Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 5 pm and until 7 pm after the memorial service.
