Rhonda Lynn Richards, 55, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 while at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  She was born in Daviess County on December 20, 1960, the daughter of William A. and Sandra Ward Richards.  Rhonda was a graduate of Hancock County High School, former employee of K-Mart and Oneys Shoe Store.  She was a member of Boling Chapel United Methodist Church where she loved making baskets for the Church Bazaar.  She was an avid animal lover, donating to the Humane Society and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.  She loved collecting Princess Diana memorabilia and her favorite song was My Heart Will Go On.  Rhonda was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Denice Richards; a brother, Jeffery Allen Richards; grandparents, J.W. and Ann Richards and Daniel and Morbia Ward.

Survivors include her parents, Bill and Sandy Richards; two sisters; Sherrie (Steve) Corley and Andrea (Jason) Bevill; a sister in law, Tammy Richards; six nieces, Tara, Ryan Nicole, Rosa, Heather, Courtlyn and Cierra, three nephews, Dakota B., Zach and Dakota S.; 3 great nieces; 1 great nephew along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Boling Chapel Cemetery.  Rhonda’s family will be greeting friends on Thursday from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.
