On November 22, 2016, Mom & Dad met our special needs baby sister Lavon Gayle Roberts, 60, in their loving arms with her family by her side. She had been at Genesis Owènsboro Center for 4 years loving and greeting everyone every morning.  Born December 7, 1955 in Owènsboro, she had grown up in Maceo, then later in life moved to Livermore. Lavon and her mom had many adventures. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Ray Roberts and Doris Rae Woosley Roberts (leaving us 4 days before.).

Lavon is survived by her sister Charlotte (Carl) Snyder and her brother Michael (Janice) Roberts; nephews & niece Kiley (Teresa) Snyder, Tonia (Tim) Love and Wesley Roberts; two great nieces Taylor & Taya Love; 3 aunts Ann, Pauline & Frances along with 18 cousins and her foster sister Edna (Jim) Drury & children

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Taylor Chapel of Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with Brother Steve Boyd officiating.  Burial will follow in Lewisport Cemetery.  Lavon’s family will be greeting friends from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday and on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.
