Judith "Judy" G. HockenberryDecember 4, 1943 ~ July 7, 2017 (age 73)
Judith “Judy” G. Hockenberry, 73 of Hawesville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday July 7, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Judy was born on December 4, 1943 a daughter of the late Harvey and Henrietta Lawson Sadler. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and retired from Perry County Memorial Hospital. Judy enjoyed reading, playing games on her computer, watching birds and spending time with her grandkids and her dog Casey. She was preceded in death by her siblings Jerry Sadler, Joe Sadler and Joyce Embry, a son in law Pablo Sauberer, a nie ce, Roxanne Hawley and a nephew, Mike Embry.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years William “Bill” Hockenberry; three children Bonnie Sauberer of Lake Worth, FL, Jimmy Hockenberry of Lewisport and Barbie and Greg Widmer of Hawesville; six grandchildren Paul Geoffrey Sauberer of Lake Worth, FL, Darrel Austin Edge of Hawesville, Corey Todd Edge of Owensboro, Samantha Lynne Widmer of Tell City, IN, MollyAnne Catherine Widmer, of Hawesville and Addison Nicole Widmer of Hawesville; two great grandkids Mason Dean and Lydia Grace along with several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 11:00 am Tuesday July 11, 2017 at New Life Baptist Church. Burial will be in Serenity Hills. Judy’s family will be greeting friends from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday at Gibson & Son Funeral, Hawesville and from 9:30 am until service time Tuesday at New Life Baptist Church.
