Helen Marie (Nix) Bruner Peck, 88, of Hawesville, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2016 at Oakwood Health Campus, Tell City, to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was born March 6, 1928 to Dora and William Nix.

Helen is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Jim) Domerese of Bowling Green and Nancy (Keith) French of Hawesville. Grandchildren include Jamie (Shannon) Hutchinson of Monticello, Joel (Melanie) Domerese of Lewisport, Chris (Keri) French of Owensboro, Kristina (Ryan) Brown, of Owensboro, Bryan (Beth) French of Hawesville and Brandon (Allison) French of Versailles. Great-grandchildren are Brantley Hutchinson, Kaitlyn Atwood, Barrett Hutchinson, Braxton French, Tristan French, Landon French, Keegan French, Mason Lee, Jameson Domerese, Bryanna Watkins, Braylee Hutchinson, Silas Logsdon, Ryleigh French, Dallas French, Avery French, and Ada French. She is also survived by a sister Pauline Adkins of Marietta, GA, a brother-in-law Harlan Bruner of Nashville and a sister-in-law Betty Preston of Erlanger, KY.

Helen is preceded in death by husbands Raymond Bruner and George Peck along with eight brothers and sisters.

Helen, who loved her Lord, was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, sang in the choir, loved her XYZ group and was a lay revival team member. She loved to travel and spent years serving as a military wife.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21st Hawesville Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.  Her family will be greeting friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Gibson and Son Funeral Home in Hawesville and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hawesville Baptist Church Building Fund or Heart to Heart Hospice.
