We moved to Rush Trail in May 2009 and were lucky enough to have Harold as our next door neighbor. He quickly became a good friend to me and my husband, Ken. He would talk often of his wife, Frances, and his children and grandchildren. Harold was a great mentor to my husband and would help guide him in many projects around the house. When we had our son, Logan, in 2011, Harold was so happy for us and always asked when we were going to have another. This was one of the many conversations that were had under his covered back porch. We were fortunate to have him in our lives and will hold onto our memories. We moved back to the Chicago area in 2014, although Harold was sad to see us leave he was very supportive in the next chapter of our lives. We would visit each summer and always made sure we had our visit with Pops. So thankful for the many pictures we have with Harold over the 6 years that we lived next door. Also I am thankful that we were able to give companionship to Harold. Ken spoke with Harold from time to time and is thankful for his conversation with him just a few weeks ago. The Lord needed another angel in Heaven and he took a great one. We love you Harold.
