Faye C. Bittel, 84, of Lewisport passed away on September 7, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House.  She was born on June 29, 1933 in Lewisport, the daughter of the late Allen and Mary Sipes Covetts.  Faye was retired from General Electric after 38 years of employment.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and working puzzles.  Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bittel; son, Mike Bittel; siblings, Billy Covetts, Abbie Covetts, Betty Voyles and Mary Covetts.

Survivors include two daughters Donna Wheet (Eddie) and Tina Gray (Chuck); 3 sons, David Bittel (Renee), Jeff Bittel (Sheryl) and Greg Bittel; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Emmick, Sue Allen and Louise Cohron; a daughter in law, Debbie Bittel; 2 sister in laws, Iris Fay Covetts and Joyce Covetts; a brother in law Paul Voyles along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday September 11, 2017 in the Taylor Chapel of Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery.   Faye’s family will be greeting friends from 3 pm until 8 pm on Sunday and after 9 am on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
