Daniel Clay Quinn

Daniel Clay Quinn, 78, of Hawesville, died suddenly on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Perry County Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.  He had been under the care of Golden Living Nursing Home.  Clay was born on April 12, 1938 in Patesville to the late Marquis and Alma Snyder Quinn.  He was a Member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, he was a barber for 44 years before retiring and a tobacco farmer.  He was in the cattle business with his son in law Ronnie.  Clay was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lee Quinn and Norma Jean Franzman, a brother, Luke Quinn and a granddaughter, Bethany Payne.

Survivors include his wife of 61, Shirlene Quinn; a daughter, Dana (Ronnie) Payne; a son, Daniel Clay Quinn II; 3 grandchildren, Blake Payne, Daniel Clay Quinn III and Kaitlyn Quinn; a twin brother, Ray; sister, Joan; two special nephews, Greg and Mark and a special niece Cindy.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hawesville.
