Cody James Obenchain, 21, of Foley, Alabama, previously of Hawesville, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at home.  He was born in Evansville on June 6, 1995 the son of K.J. Obenchain and Jamie Hockenberry.  Cody loved the Lord and was a kitchen helper at Jesse’s Restaurant in Magnolia Spring’s, Ala.  Cody was an Alabama football fan.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Hockenberry and Diana; great grandparents, Jim and Gracie Obenchain, Sylvester Perry, Paul Howell and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hockenberry.

Survivors include his grandparents that he lived with, Kenny and Brenda Obenchain; father, K.J. (Tracie) Obenchain; mother; Jamie Hockenberry; step mother, Jacquelyn; uncles, Jason (Kim) Obenchain and Jeremy Hockenberry; great grandparents, Ellen Embry and Martha Howell; great-great grandmother, Stella Sims   along with several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Saturday May27, 2017 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Henderson Cemetery.  Cody’s family will be greeting friends from 3 pm until 8 pm on Friday and 9 am until noon on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to SARDAA, www.sardaa.org.
