Audrey Ailene Taylor, 78, of Hawesville, passed away on July 7, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  She was born in Rockcastle County on September 13, 1938 to the late Leonard and Roxie Arnold Jones.  Audrey was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a member of West Point Baptist Church since 1983 and served as Sunday School director there for most of those years-a job which she greatly enjoyed and from which only recently resigned.  Audrey was devoted to the Lord, her family, her friends, her church and her community.  She always sought to help others in any way she could.  She was a kind and caring lady who was loved and will be missed by many.  She was preceded in death by her husband Maxel Lynn Taylor, a sister Irene Smith, two brothers, Russell Jones and Charles Jones and a great granddaughter Brooklynn Jade Sexton.

Survivors include her children, Jeanette (Marc) Lambert, Dennis Taylor, Connie (Rick) Corley, Theresa (Roger) Sexton and Michael (Bobbi) Taylor; grandchildren, Tina (Ken) Taylor, Jeremy (Krystal) Corley, Rebecca (Daniel) Payne, Jessica (Sammy) Sexton, Molly Taylor, Katie Taylor and Carey Lynn Taylor; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Bethany, Abby, Ashlee, Morgan, Blake, Lillee, Charlotte, Maddi and Liam; siblings, Edward Jones, Wanda Bogie, Carolyn Powell, Jerry Jones and Paul Jones along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Audrey is also survived by the extended family of Noah Mize, a long time and special friend of the Taylor Family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at West Point Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 pm until 8 pm at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville and from 9 am until service time Wednesday at West Point Baptist Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to West Point Baptist Church Building Fund.
