Arlene Jackson Jarboe, 73, of Hawesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Hancock County on June 26, 1943, the daughter of Jesse and Lucille Stout Jackson.  Arlene was a Christian, a member of Blackford Baptist Church and a housewife.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, sewing and cooking.  Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvie Jarboe; brothers, Dwight, Danny Joel, Jewell and Glendell Jackson.

Survivors include her three daughters, Tammy (Joe) Daniels, Robin (Danny) Simon and Tracy (Jeff) Morris; a son, Michael (Thresa) Jarboe; seven grandchildren, Sheala (Dustin) Powell, Zachary Jarboe, Chelsey (Joe) Hearne, Molly (Jordan) Minkey, Jared Morris, Nick Jarboe and Andy Jarboe; three great grandchildren, Theo Hearne, Little Jarvey Jarboe and Brighton Powell; two sisters, Juanita McManaway and Remonda Pierce; three brothers, Gayle, Quintin and Lendell Jackson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with Bro. Gilbert Vandgrift officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Hills.  Arlene’s family will be greeting friends on Friday from 3 pm until 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
